Community Survey

The City of Petoskey Parks and Recreation contracted BRI to prepare a long-term master plan for Washington Park. The park is a traditional neighborhood park in the Old Town Emmet neighborhood that has unique and challenging topography. The project scope for the park includes: Playground with a Broad Range of Opportunities, Preservation of Open Space, Ballfield Area, Exercise Stations, Pedestrian Access Paths, Restroom, and Picnic Area. All elements of the plan are intended to meet or exceed accessibility guidelines.   This master plan was developed from concepts presented to the Parks Commission and shared with the community in 2024. The plan proposes improvements that could be implemented over time in phases or as one project.
